Program Note

Winner of the Best Dutch Children’s Film Award at the 2025 Cinekid Festival and recognized at numerous film festivals, this heartfelt live-action drama follows Nim, an older sister with Down syndrome, and her younger sister Olli, who becomes lost in the woods together. As they find their way home, Olli learns that their bond runs deeper than simply looking after Nim, and that true strength means learning to rely on each other. Both suspenseful and deeply moving, the film draws young audiences into the sisters’ adventure.
