Program Note

Seo-yeon, a model student, struggles with a stifling daily life after her mother installs an app that restricts smartphone use in the name of academic success. Feeling isolated from her friends’ conversations and unable to check school notices, she secretly borrows a spare phone from a friend and begins a quiet double life.

OH Seung-ah

Born in 2008, she is currently studying performing arts and directing at Sejong Arts High School. Following her debut short <TOGETHER, RAMEN>(2025), she directed <SOCIAL FENCE>(2026), inspired by her own experiences and the feelings of isolation she sought to bring to the screen.
